About Us
Mission Statement
Our magazine and newsroom are directed toward voters, potential voters, and potential leaders throughout Arkansas. We report primarily on statewide political issues while also highlighting human interest stories.
We strive to get information from original sources – the governor’s office, the legislature, the state departments and commissions. We’re much more interested in hearing from the policymakers than the pundits.
Over time, we will provide the entire state of Arkansas with relevant information about our state government. Our reporting and analysis will be clear, honest, and engaging. We will treat our readers and our sources with respect and fairness. And we’ll take perspectives from Democrats, Republicans, independents, and third parties.
We believe that knowledge equals power, and our goal is to put more power in the people’s hands by giving them more knowledge of how government works in Arkansas. We want to prod, to ask tough questions, to jar people into thinking differently. Our goal is nothing less than to become the major media outlet for reporting on Arkansas government and politics.
